Gordon Xmas
As the snow is deep outside my home today and as Saturday is beer tasting day for me, here is my favourite winter beer.
John Martin, Gordon Xmas from Belgium
8.8% deep ruby red with a very thin head, roasted malt and port aroma, complex taste of roast malt, toffee, coffee and almost sweet sherry, very festive, like a Christmas party in your mouth. Absolutely loved it, the commercial description says "Created in the thirties, Gordon Xmas initiated the tradition of Christmas brews" I wish they were all this good.
Fallen Comrade
Low tide, Cramond island causeway, Firth of Forth, Edinburgh, Scotland. I have been thinking about this holiday quite a lot lately.

The Aire, Mont Saint-Michel
The Camping-car Aire, Mont Saint-Michel, Lower Normandy, France 2009, It costs €8 to park the Motorhome for the day anyway, so you may as well stay the night.
Sadly this Aire has now gone, to make Mont Saint-Michel an Island the causeway has been removed, replaced by a bridge.
I am so glad I got to stay there, even though it was just the once, the view below has gone forever, well from a motorhome anyway.

Over that way
Dot & Georgia walking in Teesdale, we did many walks with the twins before they they got to school age and I miss it now. I did blog our walks but even that has slowed down over the last year. We really need to get out more.
