Gunners View

Pointe du Hoc, is a promontory situated between Utah Beach to the west and Omaha Beach to the east and in 1944 it was covered with German gun emplacements.

A USA Ranger battalion took Pointe du Hoc on D Day and it is now owned by the USA government, it has a memorial and museum, as well as all the old gun emplacements and shell/bomb craters.
